Mothers Blessing

Welcome beautiful mama before you go any further I would like to invite you to place your hand on your womb and take a deep nourishing breath of love for you and your baby, I would love to Honor you as part of your journey to motherhood with a mother's blessing

A mother's blessing is a ceremony and celebration where you are celebrated held and nourished by the women who are important to you, surrounded by your closest friends your mother, your aunties, sister grandmother and any other woman who is important to you.

As opposed to a traditional baby shower which focuses on the arrival of baby for a mothers blessing the intention is to celebrate and nurture the mother. Imagine being in circle with these women with you sitting on your goddess chair and they are sharing their birth stories, motherhood wisdom and creating precious memories while you are having a gentle soothing foot massage.

This is the vibe of a mother's blessing where your journey into motherhood is acknowledged and celebrated.

The mother's blessing includes:

-A flower head dress for you to wear

-Decorative centre piece of candles and flowers.

-Food and drink for us to share

-Henna belly painting using dye which is completely safe to use in pregnancy with your chosen design, this is a tradition that was used to honor the experience of carrying a child.

-Creating birthing bracelets for you to wear or have close to you during labour and birth where every woman shares why she chose specific beads for you and what they represent.

You can have as many of these as you wish as part of your blessing.


As facilitator I also carry out these additional practices as part of your blessing as standard:

Water ceremony- a jar of water is passed around the circle and everyone is asked to write an intentional word for you during your labour, birth and post partum period. The water is for you to drink any time before baby is born.

Maiden to Mother celebration- my personal blessing is given to you in honour of your transition from maiden to mother I offer prayers and other words of affirmation in recognition of your transition from maiden to mother. We physically step over a threshold from who you were to who you are now becoming.

Intention candles- the blessing is closed with the passing round of intention candles to every woman which she will light at the time of your labour and birth. When it is lit at this time it represents our support and devotion for you during your labour, birth and postpartum period. It also reactivates the unity that is held by everyone who attended the blessing. I then close the blessing in prayer and gratitude.

PRICE & LOGISTICS:

-Mother's blessing: £350 (inclusive of as many options listed above)

-£15 is added for travel outside of Birmingham and surrounding areas plus £8 per head for food and drink

Mother's blessings are traditionally held within the home if you would like to hold it an outside venue I kindly request you arrange for hire and payment of your chosen venue
